Madeira is a paradise for hiking enthusiasts, with over 2,000 km of trails. The levadas (irrigation channels) offer unique paths that traverse the Laurissilva forest, mountains, and valleys.

Levada das 25 Fontes: An easy hike to a group of waterfalls.

Funchal is a charming city with colonial architecture, markets, and museums.

  • Lavradores Market: Ideal for tasting tropical fruits and local products.
  • Cable Car to Monte: A panoramic ride connecting Funchal to Monte.

CARREIROS DO MONTE: Descent in wicker baskets guided by “carreiros” – a unique tradition of our island.

Tropical and Botanical Gardens

Madeira's flora is impressive. The Madeira Botanical Garden and the Monte Palace Tropical Garden offer a diverse collection of exotic plants and panoramic views.

Whale and Dolphin Watching

Madeira is one of the best places to observe dolphins and whales, with over 20 species sighted throughout the year. Boat tours depart mainly from Funchal and Calheta.

Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools

Santana – Traditional Houses
